4 steps
From inventory to payment
Step one
It starts with a short list.
| System | What is in it | In scope |
|---|---|---|
| CRM | Pipeline history, proposals, contracts | Included |
| Accounting & ERP | Invoicing, ledgers, procurement | Included |
| Slack or Teams | Archives, project threads | Included |
| Shared drive | Working files, SOPs, templates | Included |
| Anything sensitive | Whole systems or date ranges | Left out |
Illustrative example. You decide what goes on the sheet.
Three things drive the value
How it works
From inventory to payment in four steps.
You decide at every stage. Nothing is transferred until a buyer has committed and the terms are agreed in writing.
Data inventory sheet
A short list of your systems and what is in them.
Buyer review
The buyer reviews your inventory and confirms intent to buy.
Price & terms
Agreed with the buyer, in writing.
Transfer & payment
You send a copy through a secure transfer, it is masked, and you are paid within 60 days.
What buyers want
You already have what they want.
Keep your records as they are, including drafts and reversed decisions. There is nothing to tidy up first.
Sales & customers
CRM and pipeline history, proposals, contracts, support tickets.
Operations & finance
ERP exports, procurement, inventory, invoicing, ledgers.
Communication
Slack or Teams archives, email, meeting notes, project threads.
Marketing & brand
Campaign files, briefs, brand guidelines, web content, analytics.
Process & people
SOPs, training material, management reporting, templates.
Everything else
Internal wikis and the working files in your shared drive.
The strongest package is your company drive as it stands. Breadth drives the price, and records that look unremarkable inside the business are often worth the most.
Who qualifies

Your data, protected
What happens to your data.
You decide what is in scope. Anything you don't want to share, including whole systems or date ranges, simply stays out of the data inventory sheet.
Kept separate
The copy you send sits in its own secure cloud environment, never mixed with other sellers' data.
Original untouched
Your original copy is never altered. All masking runs on duplicates.
Identities removed
Names, emails, customers, vendors, addresses and account numbers are masked consistently across every system.
Masking tested
The masked data is tested thoroughly, including against public information, to make sure it can't be linked back to your company, staff or customers.
Common questions
What owners ask us first.
Do we lose access to our data?
No. What is sold is a copy of the data. Your systems keep running as before.
Can sensitive data be removed?
Yes. Anything you don't want to share, including whole systems or date ranges, simply stays out of the data inventory sheet. Identifying details in the rest are masked.
Does it need tidying first?
No. Keep records as they are, including drafts and reversed decisions. Cleaning tends to lower the value.
When are we paid?
Within 60 days of your data being extracted, on the terms agreed at step 3.
How long does it take?
The data inventory sheet takes days. Once price and terms are agreed, extracting the data usually takes 48–72 hours.
Who are the buyers?
Several of the world's largest AI companies, building systems that learn from how real businesses operate. Buyer names are discussed directly with qualifying companies, not published.
